Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. In plain language.

Good Instincts (“Good Instincts,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a coaching and education business based in the United States. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit this website, sign up for our emails, contact us, book coaching, or buy a product from us.

The short version

  • We collect only what we need: usually your email address, and anything you choose to send us.
  • We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
  • Our site analytics are cookieless and show us totals, not individuals.
  • Your answers to an Instinct Check stay in your own browser. They aren’t sent to us.
  • You can unsubscribe from emails at any time, and you can ask us to access or delete your information.

Information you give us

Newsletter and waitlists

When you sign up for The Instinct Check newsletter or join a waitlist, we collect your email address, which list you joined, and the page you signed up from. We use a third-party email platform to store your subscription and send our emails.

Contact forms

When you contact us, we collect your name, email address, the reason for your message, and anything else you choose to include, such as your organization, your team size, and your message.

Booking coaching

Sessions are booked through a third-party scheduling service. When you book, that service collects the details it needs (such as your name, email address, chosen time, and any answers you give to booking questions) and shares them with us so we can prepare for and hold your session. The scheduling service’s own privacy policy also applies.

Coaching sessions

We may keep brief notes from a coaching session, and the written recap we send you afterward, so we can support you well. We treat this information as confidential, use it only to provide coaching to you, and don’t share it except as described in “When we share information” below.

Purchases

If you buy a digital product from us, payment is handled by a third-party checkout provider. We receive details such as your name, email address, and what you bought, but we don’t receive or store your full card number.

Please keep other people’s details out of it

Whatever you send us, through a form, a booking question, or a session, please don’t include names or identifying details about other employees or anyone else who hasn’t agreed to be discussed. The situation is enough for us to help. If identifying details are shared with us anyway, we’ll handle them with care and won’t use them for anything beyond responding to you.

Information collected automatically

Hosting and security

This site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request, so it can deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies for that purpose.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the site is used overall, for example which pages are visited most. It doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t track you across other websites, and doesn’t build a profile of you.

Spam protection

Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people apart from automated spam. To do that, Turnstile processes limited technical signals from your browser and device, such as your IP address. It is used only for security, not for advertising.

Embedded videos

Some pages include videos hosted by a third-party video service. When you load or play an embedded video, that service may collect information about your visit under its own privacy policy.

Instinct Check answers

When you choose an answer in an Instinct Check, it is saved only in your browser’s session storage on your own device, so the page can remember what you picked while you read. It isn’t sent to us, and it is cleared when you close the browser tab.

How we use information

  • To send you the emails you asked for, and to let you know when something you joined a waitlist for is ready.
  • To reply to your messages and inquiries.
  • To schedule, prepare for, and deliver coaching, workshops, and talks.
  • To deliver products you buy and provide related support.
  • To understand how the site is used overall and make it better.
  • To keep the site and our forms secure and free of spam and abuse.
  • To meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

When we share information

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-site advertising. We share it only:

  • With service providers that help us run Good Instincts, such as our website host, email platform, form-processing and automation tools, scheduling service, and checkout provider. They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
  • When required by law, or when we believe in good faith it is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of anyone, including you and us.
  • If the business changes hands, for example in a merger or sale, in which case this policy would continue to apply to the information transferred.

Emails and unsubscribing

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can use it at any time, and we’ll stop sending you marketing emails. We may still send messages about something you bought or booked.

How long we keep information

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Subscriber details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Messages and coaching notes are kept only as long as reasonably needed to support you and meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy laws, such as the right to opt out of certain uses of your information. We’ll honor these requests as the law requires and won’t treat you differently for making one. To make a request, email hello@goodinstinctshq.com or contact us. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on it.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please avoid sending us anything highly sensitive through a web form.

Children

Good Instincts is built for working professionals. It isn’t directed to children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, pleasecontact us and we’ll delete it.

Visitors outside the United States

Good Instincts is based in the United States, and the information we collect is processed and stored in the United States and wherever our service providers operate.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this policy as Good Instincts grows, including before any new member area or reflection tools launch. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date above, and for significant changes we’ll let subscribers know by email.
