These terms apply to your use of the Good Instincts website and the content, tools, emails, and services we offer (together, the “Services”). “Good Instincts,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the Good Instincts coaching and education business. Our articles, Instinct Checks, videos, tools, emails, and coaching are designed to help you think more clearly about the people side of work. They are educational and are not legal, medical, mental-health, financial, or other professional advice. They aren’t a substitute for your organization’s policies or for advice from a qualified professional who knows your situation. Please read ourDisclaimer, which is part of these terms.

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use our content for your own learning and professional development. What you send us

You’re responsible for what you send us through forms, booking questions, emails, or sessions. Please keep it general and leave out names and identifying details about other employees or anyone who hasn’t agreed to be discussed. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve Good Instincts without owing you anything, and we won’t identify you publicly without your permission.

Coaching services

Coaching is a partnership designed to strengthen your own thinking and leadership. You remain responsible for your decisions and their outcomes. Coaching is not therapy, counseling, legal advice, a workplace investigation, or a substitute for your organization’s HR, legal, or employee-relations processes, and we don’t make employment decisions on your organization’s behalf.

Sessions are booked through a third-party scheduling service. Pricing, payment, rescheduling, cancellation, and refund terms are shown when you book or are set out in a separate agreement, and those terms apply in addition to these. Work with teams and organizations is governed by a separate written agreement.

Digital products

When we offer paid tools or products, purchases are processed by a third-party checkout provider, and the price, what’s included, and any refund terms will be shown before you buy. Digital products are licensed to you for your own use as described above, not sold.

Emails

If you sign up for our newsletter or a waitlist, we’ll send you emails related to what you signed up for. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.

Third-party services and links

The Services rely on and link to third-party services, such as scheduling, email, checkout, and video platforms. We don’t control those services and aren’t responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

No guarantees

We work hard to make our content useful and accurate, but the Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don’t guarantee any particular result from using our content, tools, or coaching, and we don’t promise the site will always be available or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Good Instincts will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services or from decisions you make based on them. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific product or service the claim relates to in the twelve months before the claim, or $100 if you haven’t paid us anything. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Indemnity

If you misuse the Services or break these terms and that leads to a claim against Good Instincts, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Good Instincts grows. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date above. If you keep using the Services after an update, the updated terms apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of [state to be confirmed], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the courts located in that state, unless the law requires otherwise.
